As a lifelong Boston resident, Leo Anthony witnessed the changes that have occurred throughout the years, especially the steady increase of the Asian population. Leo's affinity for the culture and the absence of an Asian based publication crossed paths, and in November of 2004, Asian|Boston was founded, which is now a full service media company, Asian|Boston Media Group.

Singaporean-born composer Jean Y. Foo (b. 1982) was most recently applauded by Hua-In, the leading online Chinese music news source, as “a rising star in the twenty-first century international music scene.” Her music has been presented at hallmark venues and events across the globe, including the Cairo Opera House, the Forbidden City Concert Hall (Beijing), the Beijing Golden Music Hall, the Goethe-Institut (New York and Boston), the Esplanade Recital Hall (Singapore), the American Composer's Forum, the 2010 7th Annual Young Composers Festival (Boston), the 2006 World New Music Festival, the Beijing Modern Music Festival, and the CNAP Festival. Dedicated towards the development of artistic and educational projects, Jean is currently Composer-in-Residence at the Arts Sphere Chinese Music Ensemble and Director of Development at the Boston New Music Initiative. Past appointments include Curator of the Magic Hospital Music Program and Music Editor at Gramophone Magazine (China). TV

Jeff was born and raised in Massachusetts. He has traveled to Hong Kong, and while there, got a chance to tour the TVB campus, and was interested in media since then. His big acting debut came via a CT Lottery Vendor Commercial. Jeff first became familiar with Asian|Boston at Chinatown's August Moon Festival back in 2009, and was a last minute fill-in for the event. Ever since then, he was inspired by the people working for Asian|Boston Media Group and now enjoys being part of the team.

MEDICAL EDITOR

Dr. McColgan is a native Bostonian who graduated from Boston University School of Medicine. After Medical School, he relocated to Los Angeles where he completed his surgical training. Over the past 25 years he developed and managed a group surgical practice in Los Angeles as well as obtaining a Masters in Business Administration.

As an innovator in surgery Dr McColgan has traveled extensively in the Asia Pacific Region teaching and developing comprehensive surgery programs for Advanced Laparoscopic Surgical techniques.

As the Medical Editor, he brings unique talents to the Asian Boston Media Group and we look forward to a bright future.
